Frequently Asked Questions
What do you do in the winter?
Who would I talk to about employment?
When harvest is over, we haul grain, make improvements to farm ground, update and repair equipment, and plan for next crop year.
Please call our office and ask for Tom Anson, Ben Singleton or Nathan Andrews when inquiring about a job.
What are the requirements to work at the farm?
Drivers must pass a DOT physical examination and every employee must pass a drug test.
How are you different from other farms?
We operate two commercial grain elevators in addition to our farming operation. That means that we buy grain from other farmers. In addition, we cover more acres and farm in a much larger geography than most operations.
What kind of contracts to you offer?
How much grain storage do you have?
We offer almost any contract that an elevator could offer, including spot pricing, forward pricing, deferred pricing, basis and HTA contracts.
We have 3 million bushels of storage, with 1.7 million in Monroe City and 1.3 million in Winslow.
Please call the office at 812-743-5111 or email office@ansonfarmservices.com and Tom, Ben or Mike will get back with you.
What crops do you grow?
We grow corn, soybeans, wheat and milo.
